Sicko
I watched the movie "Sicko" last night.
I personally liked his last film just because it gave me a reason to hate Bush more than I already have.
This time.....it was little shocking. I see why the US government wouldn't want this film to be out.
Really, it's slap in the face. 911 rescue workers who aren't getting adequate medical care in the US goes to Cuba and receives full work up for free and prescriptions for nearly a penny compared the US.
I hope people can comment on this movie so I can see what other people think about his film.

The U.S. government didn't want this movie released?
Where did you get that piece of information?
Did you really buy everything in that movie hook, line and sinker?
I know you can see it. But it's not in the big theaters. It's all released in private/small theaters.
right?
then tell me what part wasn't correct?
I heard it's a conspiracy by the jooz.
Moore is very careful not to say wrong things... But he's extremely misleading and where he doesn't have a strong argument he pulls at heart strings... You'll notice he pulls at a lot of heart strings in the movie.
Which is fine if, you know, it wasn't such an important issue.
BTW, Google around. You'll find lots of sites (some good, lots bad) that take apart the movie.
When was the last time you saw an honest, rational, well-considered argument that convinced a lot of people of something outside of an academic environment? Criticizing Michael Moore for pulling heartstrings is like calling out the Green Bay Packers for having their quarterback pass the ball.
You have to use these techniques to gather followers, regardless of your platform. Don't you realize that about half of Americans have intelligence below the mean?!
half are below the median, but yeah...
We spend 20% or more of our income on health care. This isn't NFL football.
In any case, here's an editorial by John Stossel (yes, that John Stossel) that talks a little bit about what's wrong with the movie.
i don't know, Fumiko.
i think he's good at backing up his opinion, but he seems to provoke people's feeling to make his point. maybe it's because such an important issue for him and he believes that it needs big attention, or something. of course it's gonna be a slap in your face because that's what he intended to do.
i try not to lean on to his movie that much. he sounds like one of those communist leaders.
There's a paywall around the John Stossel editorial, but here is a direct response by one of the people mentioned in the article.
